Ok, well, I was laughing at before your edit. We'll keep that between us I guess.

No way is it going to be a $600 windfall. I'll go as high as $300 once it normalizes, but I don't expect it to be even that high. I'm speculating $225-$250 based on the mintage.

the ONLY reason I opted to buy one now is that I feel I won't want to pay 2x or 3x the $83 mint price down the road, which is where I think it will settle at and might as well get it out of the way.

By the way, do you work for the mint or something because your post sure reads like the PR department hahahhaha!

:hilarious::hilarious::hilarious::hilarious::hilarious: I was just curious what other dates were in your SE collection. I broke down and sold my entire SE collection when I couldn't get the '95 directly from the Mint.

If you and your son are buying coins from coin dealers or Ebay you may want to get them checked by other collectors at a local coin club, coin show (when they start up again), or even a less expensive grading service than the top two to make sure that you are buying "right." Buying coins or any other collectable for a collection is fun while you are doing it. It is not fun if a collector finds out they were "taken."

BTW, the two coins you bought MIGHT BE MS-70's so if you are unable to find any defects on them with a magnifying glass it will be well worth having them graded professionally.

Oh I hear ya. It can be hard sometimes. Esp when you're already annoyed with the US Mint. :banghead::bored::p

No, I have not bought any coins on Ebay, really don't trust overall. I sell other stuff on Ebay, but not coins. I'm rarely a buyer on Ebay. My son will most likely sell his Eagle when he gets it -- last time a local guy bought it from him, so he saved himself the aggravation of Ebay (and fees) and he's a seasoned Ebay store owner. TBH, I'm just a silver nut for the most part. So I collect old silver at work and new silver when I feel the need. I'm not a bona fide old coin collector. Yet. ;)

 Why edit :muted: something you posted? I'm so sad :bigtears: that many of us in this community of friends didn't get to see the funny reply. Please PM me what you posted because I too like a great "comeback!"

Insider, forget it. I shouldn’t post when I’m ticked off.

The big coin dealers will probably pay more than the "local guy." Heck, they will probably pay your son's postage just to get it.

I got my email confirmation for my ASE about 45 minutes ago. So looks like I did indeed get one.

wxcoin Getting no respect since I was a baby

Same thing happened to me. I ended up walking away for about 45 minutes and was able to log in. They must have some sort of timer; at least that's what I guess. It was then tough to order as I had to refresh many times. It seemed to have trouble with my CC on file so I just re-entered it and was able to finish the process and place my order.

Hell must have froze over as I got acknowledgement of my order. Wait a minute, the election results aren't done yet.
