Over Polishing of Die?

    Found this copper penny yesterday. Can one or two people tell me if it is an error or not? The “In God We Trust” is missing some letters. Maybe over polished die? Thanks! C5E1A948-38A0-46F6-ADEB-6437D7D8C837.jpeg

    Looks like the die was packed with grease and resulted in weak lettering.

    You can keep whatever you want. I mean I likely wouldn't. Thats not what I look for :wacky:

    It is considered an error coin, a very common type that does not really add any value. It also is a mis-aligned Die Strike. Same boat as the Struck Thru Debris.

    As @alurid said. I wouldn't pay any premium, even if I collected greasers.

    These are actually pretty commonly seen on the early 70's cents.
    Neat but no premium.
