A very nice off center strike on a 1989 clad quarter. Nothing to retire on but then, I'm already retired. Lol. A plain and simple mint error that's goes for $10.00 to $15.00.

Bought it along with two others. One of them is a tougher date and worth double.

Is that fully in the collar? Can’t see side #3

Nice error. I am thinking it is around 15% off-center. Here is a similar off-center in my collection.

Nut, I'm going to say it is a Broadstrike.. But that's just my opinion

I was thinking broadstrike too. Look at the way the lettering on the lower reverse stretches out. retaining collar

JeffC Go explore something and think a happy thought!

I had to google to learn the difference just now. Is this statement true then:
All Broadstrikes are off-center strikes but not all off-center strikes are Broadstrikes.

I purchased this from a reputable dealer and they called it an off center strike. Can you please explain why?

I also have purchased from reputable dealers. There have been mistakes made and they actually have admitted to them. I'm not going to mention who but it has occurred.

Well it's just my opinion that it is Broadstruck but that's considered and Off-Center also. Let's just leave it as is.

I would classify it as an off-center because part of the design IS off the planchet. Not much just the tops of the T's in STATES but they are missing.
