    I think they are super cool! I’m glad I was able to find them. It’s strange to me that coins were made of porcelain.

    Times were tough in Germany then. Besides, they already had a thriving porcelain industry in places like Meissen.

    Same way as coins still get lost. But bigger silver coins like half dollars are rather scarce finds, because they often got seen on the ground and got picked right back up not long after they were dropped. Dimes, on the other hand, would slip down into the grassroots and get buried over time.

    Here is a 1901 Canadian Half dollar from my grandpa’s coin collection. From what I can tell, the mintage is just 80,000. Does anyone know what it might be graded? Thanks for the giveaway!

    In my opinion, I'd grade it VF-Details due to the rim damage. However, if I were to assign a numerical grade regardless of the rim damage I'd give it a grade of VF-35.

    I found a 1909 VDB Lincoln in a coin spill that contained 6 coins dated from 1909 to 1916. Also contained 1907 Barber Dime.

    I would love the 1860 Indian Head.

    I agree the detail is almost spot on with this photo grade at VF-35. That said the rim damage and the overall coin I think put it into details

    That's a tough coin. I know, since I needed the 1901 Canadian half dollar for the 1901 Victorian type set I assembled for my daughter in the early 2000s.

    Best I managed was this example, which NGC later graded G6. It was well worn but wholesome. That coin you posted above looks to have near XF details, despite some issues like the rim damage. It is a tough and desirable coin, issues or not.

    I would like to use my credit towards the Bicentennial Quarter (pf-69), the 2 small dollar coins (SBA & Sacagawea), and the Penny rolls.. and I do realize I am over the $25 mark!

    The bullion rounds known as “Zombucks” are my favorite. They create zombify classic coin designs!

    So Zombucks are bullion rounds depicting classic coin designs that are altered to look like zombies. In the case of the pictured St. Gaudens design, the Zombucks design is called “The Saint” where Lady Liberty is a zombie slayer. There are lots of other designs including a Morgan, Peace Dollar, Buffalo, Standing Liberty, Barber, Mercury and more. They even do Presidents, but those are harder to find.
