    Welcome to CT @Real-Lucky. Now that we have your finger prints, you can expect a thorough check of records. LOL Just kidding of course, but cropping photos to show just the coin is preferred.
    I would think that it would be obvious that this cent is just damaged, or as we say, PMD, post mint damage, meaning it happened after it left the mint and has only face value (FV). The copper plating has been ground off to show the cheap, crappy zinc they now use to make cents. Good luck in the future.

    Put a cent down on some sandpaper and scuff it around and that's what you get...remember to wash your hands after playing with coins :) Welcome to CT and don't mind our humor.

    Thanks for the response guys.i thought it was damaged to but as i looked closer the w in we extends to rim of coin but only on one side. The word liberty is barely visable except the b. And its imbeded into coin and not rose above. The date is doubled and the back has other issues as well

    All damaged. Even coins with errors don't leave the mint looking like that.
    It happened later. Post mint damage.
