Is this 1965 Quarter DDO?

    No, what happened there is the planchent was struck very slightly off center.

    If you are referring to Washington's profile, that is machine doubling.......flat and shelf-like. ~ Chris

    It wasn't struck off center. It may have a very slight Misaligned Die (MAD), but I can't really even see that. An off center strike occurs when the planchet is not completely centered in the die chamber. That didn't happen with this coin

    The run is off to one side but only slightly so that makes it a MAD, misaligned die strike. Washington's profile shows what is known as MD or machine doubling. There is NAV or no added value to this coin.

    Yea I've been here a little bit... Havent had a lot of extra time to learn everything about the coins as its ALOT to learn and I have 3 kids that keep me busy. I always look through my pocket change and set aside any coin that I think looks different of of value. :)
