Maybe I should change my name to Crowndude, as my interest in UK coinage has gotten stronger and stronger. The UK collectible market is more interesting, more affordable (in most cases), and less cutthroat competitive than the US coin market. The reverse designs are much more beautiful, since the obverse design is dictated. I want to get into the older UK coins, particularly Crowns, and Half-Crowns. Here is the latest—a 2003 proof set.
Another beautiful set! Do you have any (yet) which are older than Queen Elizabeth? Speaking of QE on coins, I remembered this one: https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces78903.html Nice bridge piece between Queen Elizabeth and US coins. Had to look it up; I'd remember it being from UK, but seems I'm mistaken and it was minted elsewhere.
I definitely recommend the Victoria Crowns. I've put together a set from 1887-1900; not the prettiest coins, due to budgetary woes, but still a very rewarding experience!
