    Dear friends!

Recently I won a coin with the pdigree: From the Jack A. Frazer Collection. In the last time I have seen a lot of coins from his Collection. Anyone who does know who was Jack A. Frazer?

    Thanks in Advance

I quick look at acsearch shows that at least 887 coins of his collection were sold by CNG lately. He had a large field of interest : Greek, Roman Republican, Roman Imperial, Byzantine, modern World coins from France, Italy, Anglo-Saxon, German, a lot of gold...maybe you should ask directly the auction's house for details.

Many times such attributions are "vanity" attributions. The auction house promises to sell them with the pedigree to get the right to auction them off. I have also seen auction houses support a book being published of a collection to do the same, and maybe juice the price of the coins listed in the book.

Maybe he was an important collector, but haven't heard the name myself. Given his collection, I am certain he was wealthier than I am.
