    Hey guys,
I bought this reasonable coin on ebay. According to PCGS this year was hoarded and so its the ,,standart'' Indian. Nethertheless this specimen looks a little better than my other Indians (that are currently at NGC):pompous:.
What do you think about it? Is it usal that Denver coins (of this year) have weaker luster than Phili coins?

Thank you very much in advance :)

Better than the average 1909 D, nice coin and nice luster.

Jealous, I love those coins, but have yet to be able to add one to the collection.

Your coin has nice luster, and it looks like an AU-58 - the D mint mark looks like it shows wear, but it's tough to find wear anywhere else. How much did you pay for it?

    Very attractive coin.

I'm going to guess AU-58. It appears that there is some wear on his cheek and the eagle's shoulder. Your video seems to show the luster broken on these high points.

425 Euro including shipment from a private seller :)

I am a little bit more enthusiastic than you. My other 5 Dollar Indians are currently at NGCs, but I think this maybe the best in my collection. Keep in mind: This is an incuse design. Field and Mintmark are the only real ''high points'' of this coin. The field has a realy nice luster and there are no larger scratches on it. My guess for that coin is MS 63/64, but Indians are very hard to grade. My NGC submission will show wether I am skilled at it or not :hungover:

Kindly share photos of the slabbed coins when they come back. It is a great exercise to assess the grade of the coin and see how that compares to what comes back.
