    General question:
Are all 1999-present silver proofs of US coins sold in sets?

    Question 1:
Is there any way to obtain any of them from the mint individually? Or, are they sold only in mint sets? If there are any exceptions for halves, quarters, or dimes, could you please let me know?

Question 2: Since 1999 when the State Quarters were introduced, have all silver proof sets been sold in multiple parts? For example: one set of the silver half/silver dime/nickel Nickel, and zinc-copper penny, + dollar coin, followed by another set(s) with all the various quarters in silver?

    Thanks for your help

All Silver Proofs of US Coins are sold in sets except for Silver proof American Eagles, Commemorative Silver dollars and Silver Half dollars.
    1) You can not obtain individually, from the US Mint, any coin included in the regular Silver proof sets.
    2) Since 1999 all regular Silver proof sets include all five Quarters issued that year. (State, America the Beautiful). You can buy the five Silver proof Quarters alone but they come packaged as a set of five. You can't buy a individual proof quarter from the US Mint.

    Great!
    Thank you

Which silver half dollars have been sold individually? Regular silver proofs, or just commemoratives?

Just the silver commemorative halves, and there have only been two of them, the 1982 Washington half dollar, and the 1993 Bill of Rights half dollar. All of the other modern commemorative half dollars have been copper nickel clad.

If you go to the U.S. Mint website, you can see any and all coins for sale, and those that will go on sale, both 2019 (what has not sold out) and 2020; as well as those coins scheduled to go on sale for the rest of 2020 (production schedule). If you create an account with the Mint, you can choose to be notified of any upcoming sales that you are interested in.

Well, there was also the 2014 4-coin silver Kennedy half set -- not "individual" nor "commemorative" as such, but single-denomination at least. And, for that matter, the 1998 matte-finish strike sold with the RFK commemorative dollar.

There may have been more silver Kennedy exceptions, but I find it hard to keep up with them.

...add-on question. Are modern commemorative dollar coins all 90% silver or are there any clad ones?

The commemorative dollars were all 90% silver up to 2018. In 2019 they switched to a 99.9% (pure) silver composition, as are the coins in the regular silver proof set in 2019 and beyond. No more 90% silver.
