2011 ASE genuine?

Looks legit, just tarnished and mishandled. Not worth buying for more than melt including shipping.

I don't like the look of it one bit. That would be enough to keep me from buying it, but not necessarily enough for me to bring down heat on the seller.

 

Looks fake to me.

 

I voted fake after seeing the initial pictures because it just didn't look right to me. Everything about it seemed just a little off, except the weight.

After the series of pics and overlays from @Clawcoins, I am changing my vote to "unsure."

 

Look for the P mintmark.

@TypeCoin971793 I pulled out an ASE today and admit to failing to understand the photograph.

 

Before all the changes to the fake selling websites out there I used to download a few fakes from time to time that I would study of coins I were interested in of buying genuine raw ones.

I ran across in my file folder from that website a fake Proof ASE, which is shown below. Granted the OPS coin is not proof nor is the shown coin's date shown. But this shows you the level of detail that the fakes were getting to. One reason I then only opted to buy from respectable sources. This was the latest generation, earlier generations had more tell-tale signs of anomalies.

 

Fortunately, they gave up on the reverse

 

yeah, there is just so many things wrong with the reverse, but one has to really look at all the fine details of everything including elements distance to each other and other elements. Then the shapes of individual parts and comparison, etc etc.

To the "casual" collector it looks legit but it screams fake.
