Was watching the clock turn 12:00pm and pressed the right buttons and at 12:14pm my order went through. I want to keep it but sounds like a big payout.
What do you mean, "big payout" ? You mean flipping it ? You're gonna net...what....$600 ? Is that going to change your life ? If I got one I was keeping mine.
That's awfully presumptuous. How do you know this person isn't in college and $600 could pay for a semester of books?
Same here. Clicked 'buy' and nothing happened. Clicked again and nothing happened. Clicked a third time, and the order went through, but I thought I'd wind up with three in my basket, but that didn't happen. Completed the sale, and I snagged one. Luck. Pure luck. Stiff competition for this one.
yeah I was getting bored with Yeezys and my friend told me about the coin game, looking forward to this
So the Add to Bag came up for about 15 seconds this morning on the US Mint website. Got one and of course it was unavailable before I could check out. I'm sure there were a few (maybe 2? LOL). I'll keep monitoring the website the next few days, we'll see... I'd be beyond thrilled to get one for $65 as opposed to $700. (sold listings on Ebay as of yesterday morning) Or $800. (sold listings on Ebay as of this morning!) Not happening for me. And there are more listings than ever for over $1k, $2k, etc. My son managed to snag one last Thursday. I told him on Weds he needed to set up an account and try for one, and by golly he got one. I did not. Such is life. He said his is showing a Saturday delivery. His birthday is this Thurs, and I'm flying there for a weekend visit -- he'll be getting a Pride of Two Nations set so he'll get to see what this enhanced Eagle looks like before he gets his coveted S version, LOL. And no, I doubt he is selling his.
I finally broke down and purchased two from resellers. I think next time I will save myself the aggravation and just pre-purchase from one of the dealers. I will still try the day of the sale to complete a purchase. But if I purchase a pre-sale item from a dealer, I'll be paying a lot less than the $950 I paid last week. I also learned I could have purchased one at the Baltimore show had I gone on Thursday. I did not know about the 7:30, or next day offerings. Learned something new and valuable for the future. So much aggravation for just one coin! I'm very lucky to have the resources. Feel sorry for the ones who don't.
You really think it was fixed? How is that possible? How could the Mint, through it's 3rd party vendor website, have fixed this? I really think it had to do with ones ISP and buffering speed. How many people that use Verizon were able to complete a purchase? How many using the mobile app? In which part of the country were most sales completed? I think it would be really difficult to put a fix in place and actually have it work. I would think a fix would have actually caused more issues with the check out process. Not an expert, though.
