Edge gutter quarter... PMD?

    Found this quarter in a roll. It weighs 5.07g and there appears to be a gutter along the edge of the coin. Wanted to know if it is PMD or something else? The reverse has some type of substance on it.. Glue? Thanks, and here are pictures!

    Edge was worn down.. PMD

    Classic example of an acid soaked clad coin. The acid attacks the copper core more rapidly than the coppernickel clad layers and you get that "oreo cookie" effect.
