So is that $19 USD or .019 USD which would be almost 2 cents?

Best to clarify for everyone. I reckon you mean $19 just want to be sure.

Umm, you know how currency converters work? ;) The one at xe.com for example says that Siberian man is quite right:

you put a comma instead of a decimal point. That is what caused confusion.

Maybe you are mixing us (Sib.Man and me) up. The decimal comma instead of a decimal point is the default around here, but I did not write his post. My point (non-decimal ;) ) was that these things can be looked up pretty easily these days ...

When marking decimal notation, isn't it the custom in Europe to use a "," instead of a "." ?

Errm ... I ... just wanted to test how much attention you all pay. :shame: Right, one thousand is "1.000" here, and one and a half is "1,5". (For some odd reason xe.com uses only the point in the first line of my example.) But I have not come across a notation system where "nineteen" is written "0,019".

I have had this Iranian mint set for quite a while (I don't remember where I picked it up). The coins all seem to have the year ١٣٧٢ or 1372 Jalali (1413 Hijri) or 1993 Gregorian. I do remember that the inner cardboard that holds the coins used to have a plastic overcoat on it that began to deteriorate, so I removed it quite a while ago.
