Thank you for helping me figure out what these are worth. If some of you say my yesterday post, then you know I'm helping my Gran and she believes some if these are valuable. I don't. But, she is adamant so I'm getting feedback here that she can see.

I hope your Gram reads this......

I took my Mom with me to Las Vegas in 1996 where I was playing in a pool tournament. At 75, it was the first time that she had ever been there. Having grown up during the Great Depression, Mom had always been very frugal. I "introduced" her to the penny multi-line video slot machines, and she instantly fell in love with them. We would sometimes play them for hours on end. On our return trip to Florida, Mom asked me when I would be going back to Las Vegas, again. It became our routine to make the trip every year until her death in 2006.

I wouldn't trade that time for anything in the world.

your coins are modern copper plated zinc cents with environmental damage, worth 1 cent each...

She did. Thank you. She said, "What a nice young man." That was a compliment to you no matter your age because everyone is younger than Gran, and it was a sugar coated way to tell me to get married already. (I'm a female despite my nickname which is male). Thank you for the story. It made her smile and warmed both our hearts. She still insists I have gold on my hands.

They are all worth face value and as they are made from zinc the coins have been damaged by the environment. This is very common. Thank her for the coins and tuck them away. Those face value coins will become more valuable to you later in life than you can possibly realize at this point in time. :)
