Finally: A West Point Quarter (or 9)

Well 9 (at least) to be precise. $260 of MWR gave up 8 loose "W" American Memorial Park quarters and 1 ender. I haven't opened the roll with the ender. Think I should?

After searching around $5k since the news came out and finding zilch, I was about ready to throw in the towel haha.

 

Take them to the Whitman Show.. Maybe you will get some offers for them!

 

Yeah that's my plan. Gonna keep 4. 1 for me and 3 kids. I'll take the other 4 and maybe the one with the ender and see what kinda nibbles I get. Or do you think I should open that roll? The other side is the reverse of an American Memorial.

 

Nice haul. But I get creeped out with enders as they often show crimping marks.

Open the roll, the chance of it being a full roll of Ws is zero to none

 

I wouldn't open that roll I'd keep it intact for intrinsic value.

 

I know it's zero to none. Just kinda fun to have an ender. I'm leaning toward opening though. I don't like secrets haha.

 

But it's $9.25 at least, that I could spend on more coins! Tough choices.

I went ahead and opened it. Couldn't help myself. Just the ender. Oh well. 9 "W"s is not too bad.

 

I'd keep the wonder as that's always neat to have. After all, you found 9 so it's not like you need to search for them.

The teller today told me she had another box in the vault but would need the manager to open it. Perhaps I will swing by tomorrow after hitting up the coin show to see if I can snag that box lol.

 

Skip the manager and buy the entire box. lol Have fun at the show I can't get to.

 

The manager had the key to the vault at the time and she was with a customer. Hopefully I will be good tomorrow.
Show should be fun. My son came down with a double ear infection and a ruptured ear drum in one year last night. He has been out of it all day. He is really looking forward to the show tomorrow so I hope he feels better by then. At least good enough to go.
