1979 Quarter is this on another planchet ?

    What makes you think that, looks perfectly normal to me. The rings are roller damage.

    The rings are from a coin rolling machine. Loomis is the worst!

    A planchet is a blank metal disc that is then minted and becomes a coin.
    What other planchet besides a quarter do you think this is? It appears to be
    the exact same size as a quarter.
    I see I am late to the party and my response was already posted.
    I agree about Loomis. They scratch every single coin they touch.
