Such as, good, low any quantity pricing for popular bullion products? I almost never see it. All I see are "as low as" prices for high quantity orders. JMBullion and Provident are always cheaper.

Can anyone provide examples of a good deal on Apmex's website?

    You have to check around.
But I've found Provident 5 out of 6 times (or more ) to be cheaper on stuff like ASEs , AGEs etc.

I hear you. There is something to be said though for reliability and quality to me. They may be a wee bit higher on this or that. I feel confident though I will get what I ordered, as ordered and usually before it was promised to arrive to me. I am OK with paying a little bit extra for that piece of mind.

Here's my limited experience so far. Day to day prices seem to be the same as everybody else. It is the specials that you have to wait for like the $10 over spot type of offering on ebay with dynamic pricing. It is interesting to watch the sold count go up by the minute as people pile in. And the fluctuating price is pretty good too. My experience with the actual coins you get is mixed. Sometimes they are perfect, sometimes not so. They are a well oiled machine and returns are handled quickly. Also always check their "wire" price versus their typical offerings on ebay. Always about $50 cheaper (for gold 1 oz) by wire.

We live in pretty good times when we can pick and choose from an almost infinite variety of stuff, buy from the comfort of your couch, get high grade stuff (sometimes) almost immediately with the ease and reliability of COSTCO.

It wasn't always this way. And thank goodness the market is relatively quiet. The dealers in the precious metal market don't have a stellar long term track record. So for the meanwhile, enjoy but be cautious when and if this market ever goes crazy. Then you start seeing delays, excuses, runarounds and your money is long gone and you have nothing to show for it.

Myself, I have been around bullion dealers for a long time now, (since the 70's). I would trade last 2% price for quality, reliability and trustworthiness any day. If you always chase the last 1% someday you will get burned.

Just my 2 cents. Not saying it has to be them versus other very reliable dealers, but way too many people buy from "Billy Bob's guns and bullion" versus a good bullion dealer to save 1%. Sometimes it works out, sometimes it doesn't.

Appreciate the responses but I am talking about the website, not ebay. Yes, Apmex often has deals on ebay. However, buying on ebay requires paypal which is terrible risk to use. Feel free to google that on your own. While I trust Apmex, I do not have a desire to start using paypal just to buy from Apmex on ebay.

The Apmex website is more expensive than their competitors. And I am talking about by far more than a 1 or 2% price difference.

Provident Metals regularly runs specials. For instance, a 2018 Incuse Maple Leaf is $17.47. This is a BIG discount. Apmex is selling it for $1.99.
Provident metals saves you $2.52 about 13% less.

JmBullion also regularly runs specials. This week, one of their specials is a 2018 Silver Maple for $17.25. On Apmex, a 2018 Silver Maple is $18.39. Buying on JMBullion saves you $1.14, or more than 7%.

Every week bullion buyers can check out Provident or JMbullion and discover discounted bullion that is far cheaper than on Apmex. I have been buying gold and silver for several years online and never find comparable deals on Apmex.

Can anyone find me an "any quantity" discounted item on Apmex like a Maple, Eagle, Britannia, or other government issued piece of bullion?

APMEX has deals on 1 Oz. AGEs on eBay that you can buy with PayPal at no additional charge.

In fact there is one as we speak — $15.99 over spot.

Which would be great if you could buy from them on ebay and pay with CC or echeck, but if you buy from them on ebay you must pay through paypal.

Why would you ever let a nonbank, bank like paypal have access to your accounts when they can freeze them without cause, trapping your money with them and their arbitration process.

I’ve never had a problem with PayPal. I connect it with a credit card each time I use it, then immediately pay the credit card bill. I never give them access to cash accounts.

I have used PP since the beginning and never had any problems. I only sell the occasional items on ebay so I have never run a lot of cash thru PayPal. When I purchase stuff on ebay they just run it thru my CC so no problems there either.

I bought 2 x pcgs ms64 double eagles via apmex ebay store, using the Ebay bucks offer, for 82 usd under spot each yesterday

PayPal is risky for the seller as in a dispute they almost always favour the buyer and pull money from the seller. If you use you credit card to fund your PayPal, which you can, you are also protected as the buyer by your ability, in a worst case scenario, to do a charge back.

APMEX in most cases is more expensive but they do offer a bit better product and service.

For example: I ordered a bunch of "random" year ASEs from APMEX and got a bunch of 1991 and one 1986, along with some 2014. They're just bullion coins, but the older coins fetch a bit more premium.

I've been ordering "random" year ASEs from Provident and all I get is 2015 and 2017.

I agree that Provident really sucks for their "Random" fulfillments. More often than not, it just whatever they have in stock, which as a smaller dealer isn't much variety. However, this is also typically the case for all bullion dealers. Random really does mean random.

If you don't buy a roll of 20 you can get some variation in ASEs.
From Provident I got nearly all years including 1986. But I usually bought $100+ at a time (5 or 6 ASEs). I stayed away from the rolls which were usually the same year. But I'm sure it varies greatly. Though I haven't bought any in the past 6 months.
