Been looking for a good quality Widow's mite (prudah) to purchase for my brother, a coin collector. I found some NGC graded ones on Collector's.com. Is this a reputable website. I steer away from Ebay. VCoins and David Lawrence do not seem to have what I want.
    Thanks for the help!

Calling @Deacon Ray, come in @Deacon Ray... :D

He's perhaps our most enthusiastic Judaean collector and has bought tons of these so he'll likely have some recommendations.

Actually these are so common this is one kind of coin you could find on ebay. just watch for the obvious tourist fakes(see them on Forum fakes Ilya's site)) which are obvious and buy only from American dealers.[IMG]

    Hi CTAF friends,
My apologies for the late reply. I've been doing some freelance graphic work and I haven't had a lot of time to hang out here at the "Ancients Club" for the past couple of weeks. Thanks for the call to action @TIF and @Mike Margolis ! Welcome to the forum @Natastovall ! I'll send you a list of my favorite and trusted dealers in ancient Judaean coins via email.

Wherever you buy these, be careful to find coins that are appropriate for the prices asked. These are extremely common coins in poor shape. They are much more hard to find in fully readable, easily classified, dare I say even 'attractive' condition. 'Good quality' will mean different things to different people. I bought the one below from Harlan Berk because I wanted one with relatively clear Hebrew letters on the star/wheel side.

It was almost twice as much as this one which has better Greek legend around the anchor.

Neither is well centered. That will be an extra cost option. These were made by the millions and still exist in huge numbers. You can afford to be selective and get what suits your desires.

Thank you for the warning. I have noticed that many of these coins are off-center and hardly readable. I will be choosy. I have a few months to look carefully. Is Harlan Berk a coin dealer that I can find on the web?
