I started purchasing Geiger bars a couple years ago because I like the security features. This is an old picture and I have added quite a bit since it was taken. I will dig them out of the safe soon and get an updated photo.... Geiger2.jpg Geiger.jpg

Exactly what security features do they have? Plastic cover? Does an alarm go off if someone picks it up? Please explain.

    Scenario 1
Apparently you know nothing about this line of bullion?
#1 I would think many are already familiar

    Scenario 2
Apparently you aren't familiar with the line but you couldn't take 30 seconds to google it or go to a bullion site and read about it?
#2 Instead, you were a jerk to the poster for not TELLING you why it is secure instead of taking a second to learn about it yourself.

    Scenario 3
You are familiar with the line and its security, but chose to be a jerk just to a jerk. What was the point of that?

You're right! I don't know anything about this type of bullion, and so it might have been to the OP's advantage if these features were explained in his opening post. It's his thread, and he should have considered that there are probably others who don't know anything about them as well. As I see it, the only jerk is you.

The world needs more gold leaf dog poop, and less name-calling. Personally, I would not eat one of these bars if it contains any GMO ingredients!

Nice bars, like the added security features, so what are the premiums on these Bars ? i am in the process of building a 10 OZ Johnson Matthey set, but the premiums are For sure on the high side.

I am very fond of these bars, the premium isn't all that bad. APMEX sells them.
    I have several of the sizes, 100g, 250g, 500g, 10oz. :D

I am not too concerned about the premiums. I love the bars, I am not selling soon, I KNOW there is not any counterfeit issues, they stack easily, many sizes and variations, a lot of history, made very nicely.....what's not to like?

Those bars premium are too high , about 2 to 3 dollars over spots , as silver stacked , to me silver just silver , i will not buying any high premium bars or rounds , maybe you sell those high premium bars little more later, but you lost a lot money already at first place .

With a name like that, I think I'd end up compulsively checking them to make sure they aren't glowing in the dark. :nailbiting:

Don't worry about radiation. Geiger is a name but also means violinist. :)

Let's see.....How much over "spots" are ASE ? I never asked you to buy any. And, I haven't lost one dime. I have "strong hands" and don't plan to sell anytime soon.

My point is that there are multiple bullion counterfeit bars. I have never heard of a fake Geiger bar. I also purchase Sunshine Mint bars and rounds because of the security features on those products.

I checked Geiger bar price at JM bullion , those bars about 4 dollars over spots, so as when come to sell you need silver up 2 to 3 dollars to make it even on your purchase . I have over 6000 oz silver I don't have any problems with counterfeit bars or fake silver . You need know how spot fake silver or stick with big name bullion dealer or local bullion dealer . I will rather to buy ASE over Geiger bars, ASE only 2 dollars over spots and easy to sell .

You sir, know absolutely nothing about me. Who cares that you have 6000 ounces of silver? I DO KNOW how to spot fakes. As a matter of fact....you may just qualify.

I have been a member here for a long time. I assumed things have changed after a long hiatus. Apparently I was wrong. So, with that said.......I am out of here. Have fun .
