Corgi, don't spend effort to write it, here is

    20...

By the way, I see a "nomad" around the net with some more pages:
    https://forums.collectors.com/discussion/987618/penny-coin-is-worthless
    https://www.coincommunity.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=297132

where this is said, as short and to the point:

    Hello CoinTalk (here),

    I read this (here http://www.bbc.com/news/business-36226813 )

"...I think we should get rid of them, says taxi driver Mr xxxx. I used to throw them out of the window. They're useless, aren't they?..."

Penny coin, or one cent coin or whatever coin it is, is worthless...?

PS: The point of this thread in which lots of various things are mentioned is that "the worthless penny/cent coin" said by everybody is really worthless...? This is being questioned/explained in this thread that's not done anywhere else.

@Beefer518 et al. Have you understood their this this post? They are celebrating "pages".

Seriously. Truble, you mean "the one cent is nonsense"? This is another way of saying "the one cent is worthless", isn't it.

Depends on your reference to "worth". The premise of this thread has left all us baffled by the ramblings of 1 money, 1money in your pocket for safety, etc. Blah, blah, blah

Actually I mean this thread is nonsense.

If you mean worthless in reference to its stated value then yes. It's melt value is only 80% of its stated value of one cent. If your reference is purchasing power prior to the federal reserve creation in 1913 then yes again because one cent in 1913 had more purchasing power. In reference to a 1913 Silver dollar, it was worth 1/100, today at silver spot price, that one cent should be worth around 13 cents. If your reference is in some weird way you can have safety with 1money in your pocket then again yes.
Do I support getting rid of the one cent? No. But then I did not know that is what was even close to being discussed???

Enjoyed my adult beverage last night in celebration of page 20!

    @Truble,

First of all, thanks for your this post which is the first contributive post of you in this thread.

If we summarize what you said, you are saying more or less the same being said by everybody, "the one cent is worthless, useless, etc" like the taxi driver said, that's, the common view, the view of community, the mainstream view. Almost all people who I communicated on and off-the net have said such similar things "the one cent is worthless, useless, etc" and they all added "we should get rid of the cent" except only a person or two who said "I don't support getting rid of the one cent" like you said.

Now, could you explain why you don't support?

(Keep enjoying your adult beverage to celebrate page 20,21,22,... you'll see it yourself it won't be so easy as any explanation will be off-the mainstream view that will be considered a bit weird.)

Because the time and energy to debate and argue the one cent's demise is a worthless effort when we have bigger issues with our money than whether there should or shouldn't be a one cent coin. But then again this threads premise was never the one cent coin should be eliminated

Because the time and energy to debate and argue about the cent is a worthless effort? Your this answer is an escape, an evasive answer, not an answer to why you don't support. What you said in your previous post was "Do I support getting rid of the one cent? No." - You didn't say "I don't mind/care about getting rid of the one cent." Anyway, maybe, you meant "I don't support being busy with getting rid of the one cent." And, from your next words in your this post, this is obvious and it is clear that you see the one cent issue as a small issue comparing with bigger issues with the money. What are bigger issues with the money? While you (or people in general) have not been able to solve that small issue of the one cent can you/they solve bigger issues with the money? No.

Yes, indeed, elimination of the one cent coin has not been mentioned or rarely mentioned in this thread. Elimination or not elimination is a question at final stage. To be able to answer such a question, first, we need to learn what the money "itself" is. And, this has been the topic of this thread from the first posts to all posts in whole thread. And, learning the money itself includes learning the one cent coin. And, if the one cent were a small issue, there would/might have not been any bigger issues with the money. Weirdness is in the mainsteam view in this money thing itself.

I too ignore Erol. Still... helpful (lol)

Ok, maybe, it is time to ask this question now as it seems that everybody here already knows what the money/coin is:

Should the one cent coin be eliminated/phased out or not?

Admittedly I do not understand why people who would love to see the topic "die" keep contributing to it. Oh well, up to them. And yes, Erol, in my opinion - I know you won't like this ;) - the US cent should be phased out. But I am not American, it is their decision, not mine ...

Christian, you don't understand them because the truth is that they don't love to see the topic "die", they love to "kill" the topic. Anyway, they can keep challenging.

Won't I like the US cent to be phased out? I've never said it should be phased out or not. It is none of my business, either. However, it is not because I'm not an American. If I were in the US as a guest working person there without being an American without having the US citizenship, I'd still put my nose into the cent thing. Btw, my this question "Should the one cent coin be phased out or not?" was not only about the US cent. There is similar stiuation also in other places, eg, Germany.

Which is Truble and which is Corgi? Guess, that desperately looking one by eye-closing with white hair is Truble and that looking forward happily one now with wide opened eyeballing is Corgi as the page 21 is coming soon. Prepare wine and whining.

Ok. Lets start a new white clean page after all you the two old kids turned this page too into a trash. We'll have to search the treasure in the trash.
