I'm going to "cheat" and use something that I have designed a while back. And no, I'm not in the contest but figured if someone had the ambition to make a digital coin collection - it can really look very neat. And no, I do not own any of the coins - hence the image is small and in black and white.
Update. I have been away from this for awhile, so I am extending this contest until May 31st. At that time I will be looking for the best answers, whether or not the winner actually accomplishes everything I was looking for on the two contests. For those who may have wondered why I went 'radio-silent', I had a wonderful 3 week trip to Japan and then a not-so-wonderful couple of weeks now with jet-lag. This contest seemed to get off track during the time I initially traveled to Japan, which on United Airlines through Chicago was not too pleasant. I had aisle seats which were ok as far as seat-wise goes (compared to normal not-aisle seats), but based on the whole travel experience with United and comparing it to all other trips I've taken in the past number of years, I have to conclude that either I was extremely unlucky with the boarding assignments (getting all 4 and 5's) or that United assigns general boarding based on doing window seats first, center next, and aisle last --- the assumption being it's easier to board that way. I think it is that way with United and so if i ever fly them again (big if, since I hadn't flown them for awhile based on a couple trips I took with them before) I definitely will go for the window seat. Also on the flight into Japan I had a seat that the seat pocket was broken and they made no attempt to fix it even though I informed them before we left and the stewardess said she called a mechanic for it. Luckily, I carry some old baby-diaper pins (you know the kind with the characters on the heads) for different situations that might need them, and so I did a do-it-yourself seat fix for the flight. Good thing, because the broken seat pocket left actually 0 percent leg room, since it was against my knees. I even left the pin in on the flight afterwards, since it seemed that that might help the next flyer. It was a nice one with a little duckie head. And the flight was full so I could not change seats. The flight back was not pleasant either, being full and some bumpiness made the seat belt light be lit most of the time. Plus United food is absolute the worst. I couldn't even eat the breakfast I was served, it was that bad. So...
Okay @Kasia Have been watching for a while and am going to try. 1. 1794 flowing hair dollar 2. 1795 Flowing hair Silver Plug dollar 3. 1804 Draped Bust dollar 4. 1856 Seated Liberty Dollar 5. 1866 Proof No Motto Seated Liberty Dollar 6. 1870 S Trade Dollar 7. 1877 S Trade Dollar 8.1889 CC Morgan 9.1893 S Morgan 10. 1895 Morgan
In this collection, I would have 3 Morgan dollars, one that is of a mint state 63 grade, another one of a ms63 Deep Mirror Proof Like designation, and another of ms65 proof like designation, all 3 graded by PCGS. This is because, It will provide examples of 3 very unique style of Morgan dollar finishes, that were all made by similar dies, under the same production method, from the same place. This set will also help to display how a wide range of finishes can be created on business strike Morgans. This set can also provide an educational opportunity for others because it can help numismatists identify the differences between a mint state, Deep Mirrror Proof Like, and Proof Like Coin. The top coin is in MS63 grade, the middle is designated MS63 DMPL, and the bottom is designated MS65 PL. I don't think anyone will guess all the coins in the 'collection' but @Coinlover67 that would be a nice collection you name. You are 'duplicating' coins in a fashion. Why have three Morgans and two Flowing Hairs, for example? Wouldn't just one of each be much better? (I kind of say it would, based on my list of coins). There really is a theme going for mine.
