This is really interesting. Maybe I should invest in some silver! I want to see what the knowledgeable mods have to say about this.

At the moment I DO invest in silver coins, which are cheaper. I guess I'll save my silver, buy more, and make this a long-term investment! This video, post, and the comments on the video were all very insightful! Thank you very much! ;)

How much do you get your coins from, and where do you get them? Don't mean to be nosey, just curious :p

You are very right. Rightly pointed out that silver is worth more than gold. Reasons from my point of view is silver price more than doubled from last years price of $ 19 to $38 and above this year. Where as gold appreciated about 20 to 30%. Appreciation in silver value is demand based where as in case of gold it is fancy buying. Apart from that silver has some industrial use and emerging economies are storing it.

I have about 80 ounces of silver at this point. This kind of information is what I was exposed to FIRST! Luckily, I jumped in on silver before gold. I have been waiting to make a switch and start stacking gold as well. However, I just don't know if that's the best choice. The silver to gold ratio mentioned at about 2:20 is so true. And to correct that ratio, either gold will drop or silver will rise. I believe silver will rise!

Silver would probably give more returns then gold, but no it will not go beyond price of gold for sure..

Just as likely eating cockroach eyes might lengthen your lifespan, so get them while you can cheaply. IMO, Jim

After thinking about for the last 6 hours I can't recall anytime in my life, nor on the history of both metals, anytime in which silver was worth more than gold.

Let's not turn this thread into a crock of shizzle! :D Silver will never be worth more than gold, that's just not gonna happen! Silver is definitely gonna go up in price as it always does, when gold goes up, silver follows! Right now, silver is in a demand the world has never seen before! That by itself proves the price is going up but it may take awhile! That's not a reason to panic buy at all! Use your brain, not your imagination! ;)

Just another misleading sales hustle. Total B$llSh$t.
For example, the 1980 $50/oz silver price was due to the Hunt Bros attempting to corner the market.
    There's is no silver shortage:
"In total, there were an estimated 1.6 million metric tonnes of physical silver above ground by late 2018. This amount is 20 times higher than what The Silver Institute discloses as “identifiable above-ground stocks,” which is what’s widely assumed to be the total above-ground stock. The huge discrepancy is important to analyze, as it reveals silver’s true stock to flow ratio and supply and demand dynamics. Misunderstanding these dynamics would mean failing to understand the price of silver. . . ."

I could go on. why bother.

Yes this is true. At least that way they would have made thousands of dollars profit on gold to offset some of the massive losses they took on silver. (Silver was ~ $32 at the time of this post ) ROFLMAO

IMO, silver is not a viable investment as evidenced by how my other investments have performed over the years.
