Gotta love you too dear coin brother. Though we don't always move in the same circles I think a mutual admiration is somewhat at hand. And I do enjoy your 'zany' nature, to say the least.......:)

Hmmm? ... they say that it is a "Bull Rushing", but I agree that it looks a bit like a "Boar Kneeling" ...

And "cow-ultrasound" counterstamp is also very interesting (way ahead of their time)

Boar, definitely a boar. I may be in the minority but when it comes to countermarks I place great importance on placement. This coin is as close to perfect as any coin can be. The boar on Augustus' neck destroys nothing of importance on either side and the turkey head (call'em like I see'em) looks like an xray of the bull's last meal. It could be better if the boar were on the bull so we could argue for a confused rendition of the earliest form of prenatal ultrasounds. To me, the same countermarks moved to Augustus' face and the bull's head would produce a coin not half as desirable. Steve has shown a tendency to acquiring coins I would call tasteful not just things that can be graded XF5/5. To quote a famous way-North American "I really think this lil' bugger is pretty fricken cool!!!"

I guess it's kinda like looking at clouds. You see what you want. The CM on the bull looks like a baby bottle to me.

Ummm baby-bottle, eh? ... hey, I'm no Sigmund Freud, but do you happen to have any Grand-kids on your mind by any chance?!!

Nope. No ankle-biters around here. You don't see it? The nipple pointed slightly up and to the right?

Ahahaha, yup ... I can squint and see a baby-bottle, but I'm more inclined to go with Doug's turkey and/or the standard eagle!! (but thanks for your two-bits!!)
