Recently Made a trade for this ANACS certified 1916 standing lib quarter, and wanted to show it off. I have owned many dateless examples, so it is nice to have one that is a bit more clear on the date. Maybe someday I will upgrade to a VF, but I really like the look of this one for now.
Very nice coin!! Did ANACS give it a grade, or just certify it as genuine? I am correct that it should at least be a G-4 with most of the date legible?
Thanks. ANACS graded it VG8 which is correct imo given the bottom loop of the 6 is full. G4s generally only have the very bottom outlines of 1 or 2 digits visible.
:thumb:Nice key date!!!! Pcgs an MS-64FH is out of the question, with my budget  http://www.pcgs.com/Prices/PriceGuideDetail.aspx?MS=1&PR=1&SP=1&c=111&title=Standing+Liberty+Quarter
Thanks for the comments. Yeah, I don't think I will ever be able to afford an MS-64 either. I had to trade an arm and a leg to get this one....lol.
That is a great looking one if you ask me. Lots of life left in it. And just part of the date worn. Great pick up. What did you have to trade? A porsche? eheheh
I traded an ANACS G-4 1916 slq, a bunch of midrange type coins including a type 2 gold dollar along with a few buffalo nickels, and $962. Thanks for posting that Treashunt! That one is yours, right? I thought I remembered reading that you owned one on a thread I read several years ago. Neat coin! You should post some closeups!
