In 1987 there was The Loonie.
In 1996, the RCM introduces The Toonie.
    Presenting 2006 - The Cloonie

Ertw,I don't think George Clooney is Canadian,so he would not be a suitable subject to depict on a Canadian coin.Perhaps,Lord Conrad Black should be depicted on a coin,as he exposed how arrogant the 1919 Nickle Resolution is.

Clooney isn't from Canada. He's from Pike County, Kentucky.

Canadian government is buying up some Hollywood stock I guess. RCM trading citizenships up north and a coin with your mug on it for your foreign citizenships?? Who here on these forums could resist that?

As per the Nickel resolution, Mr. Black is no longer a Canadian anymore (at least last time I bothered to check), so that would make him ineligible. Besides...the "Connie"?...doesn't have the same ring to it. Maybe we'll see the much discussed $5 coin in circulation...the Rooney?...Anyone know any childhood actors willing to model for the coin?
