That is a sweet box of dimes. The 41S is a Merc right. I'm still looking for my first one of those.

    Halves never arrived, ugh.

Got dimes, nickels, and cents instead. Almost done the dimes.

Yes, the coin gods were with me that day. My wife and I were cracking that box, she pulled the 1907 and I got the other. Thanks for the sentiments.

The weather has been so ugly lately I decided to look at things that grab my attention.

This thread is one of them as it has the serendipity element of enjoying life wrapped around it.

I even read the 1st installment~It inspired me to share my joy of yesterdays finds.

Had to go grocery shopping yesterday and out of habit checked out the Coinstar REJECT bin.

    BINGO!!!!

Scooped up the contents and furtively dropped them into my shirt pocket as I went back to getting vittles & such.

After getting home and restocking the larder remembered I still had unknown surprises in my pocket.

Pulled them out and found~'77 & '80 Canada dimes. Kool.

    2003 Canada cent (yawn)

2008 Hawaii quarter (wonder why that got puked into the reject bin?)

1934 LWC with some (? chewing gum gunk left over from WWII?) Kool

    And....wait for it......

    One 1950 S Rossie Dime!!!!!!!

Sweet! Gonna be hitting up some random banks today, hope I have the same good fortune.

Very cool! Future coin collector or not, that's one of those things that kid will probably remember forever. You done a good thing, Animosity. :smile

They didn't have my H's yesterday either. I don't like when that happens... Dump day today, then some random searching. If I find anything particularly good, I'll post 'em. D's seem to be flowing this week; maybe I can find a random box.

    We all are.

I'm lucky I have my little pocket in the south/southwestern corner of my county in relative isolation.

Hit up a couple banks on my lunch break, ther first had $1.00 in halves, both 2000P in nice condition. The next $6.00 loose and as she was counting them out I knew they were all skunk. Took em anyway along with $40.00 dimes in BWR's. I'll search and post results later on those.

Skunk on the $40 in dimes

Tried my hand at another box of pennies. This one yielded 14 wheats and $7.32 in pre-1982 copper. Hope everyone is having a pleasant week.

Found 2 re-wrapped BWR's of Halves and about $16 in loose halves at lunch. No Silver. I did find a 1940 Rosie in the change reject slot at TD Bank when counting my skunks from yesterday. So, not a complete loss, but not a good day.

Box of cents, 10 wheats, all common dates, but RB '41 and '44. A few BU's, nothing amazing, and a 1998 WAM.
