nope - never been to any of the shops in Louisville - I have attended several shows down that way, but never any shops. There is going to be a small coin show in Irvine KY next month - I normally go and have a pretty good time...like I said...small, but some nice people.

Too bad you couldn't take a break while traveling. With the amount of territory you're covering there's probably a lot of interesting sites waiting to be detected.

I hear ya.... I finally have some reliable staff that I'm putting on the weekend shifts so I don't have to work seven days a week anymore. As long as they show up, I'm in the clear.

If the weather holds, this weekend I'm going to a site my buddy was shown (about a half hour's drive out of the city) that has been producing coins and relics from pre-1850. He was there twice and his last finds were a 1797 cartwheel and a severely damaged and holed 1840 U.S. half dime. I can't wait to do a hunt there. I'll post pics if it happens.

Nice! I've got a DFX. Hardly been out this year because of work and the weather.

How long have you been detecting?

I personally want to thank you for nominating this trivia as "Post of the Week."
