Unhappily my plague (prevention) taler didn't work and I got Covid. Maybe that's why they didn't make them again after the 1st year? Sep 30, 2022

Hi thank you, I am still looking for a good 1839 peso. It is on the top of my list. You have a picture of it?

I try to specialize in two numismatic areas.

    1) Ancient Coins This area deals with coins of the Romans as well as ancient Greece and contemporary Ancient Empires. This period runs from ca. 630 BC until 480 AD: which seems to have replaced the old date of 476AD.

    2) Coinage of the Early Latin American Independent Countries. These are coins from South & Central America dating from when they proclaimed independence from Spain or Portugal and for the following century. The years are roughly 1810 to 1930. For Brazil, which followed a different path, I extend this to the Colonial period.

In both areas I like trying to use coins to illustrate history and have a website and blog dedicated to this. I am very interested in corresponding with numismatists and other collectors in these areas.

** note the website is back up, got rid of the CMS's and now recoded in HTML5.

One year I eventually hope to buy a coin.
