I didn't get to finish. I have three professionally graded Franklins. The one graded by Numistrust is suspicious. It was graded MS-65 FBL (1948 P). I agree that it is FBL. 1948 FBL's aren't THAT rare because most of the coins struck in that year were with new dies. And the lines are full on the coin. But the MS-65 is fishy. I would grade it MS-63+...maybe MS-64. I also have a 1957 NGC graded Franklin in MS-65 (no FBL). That appears to be correct although I believe it may be a FBL. There are very few bagmarks interrupting the line sequence. The strike IS weak though. I also have a PCGS graded 1961 Franklin in PF66. The reverse is cameo, but the obverse isn't. I read about this. Some dies were maintained at different times. I also have some bills. I have a Fed. Res. $50 Grant bill signed by the well-known economist Andrew Mellon. A lot of history surrounds him, as he was an advisor during the shift into the Great Depression.

Unfortunately, I dropped my camera in the Gulf of Mexico while fishing so I can't show any pictures of my collection. But I will get some up at some point. My collection consists of sets in AG - F condition except for the Franklin and Kennedy half collection I am working on; both of which consist of Mint state 60 or better. Some dates that I dream about and only wake up to find that, in reality, I don't have are as follows: 1909 S VDB 1C, 1909 S 1C, 1914 D 1C (that will complete my 1st full lincoln cent collection), 1913 D TII 5C, 1913 S TII 5C, 1914 D 5C, 1915 S 5C, 1920 D 5C, 1921 S 5C, 1937 D 3-Leg 5C (to complete my first Buffalo set), 1885 5C, 1912 S 5C (to complete my first Liberty head set), and two dime sets (mercury and Roosevelt) in working. I'm becoming obsessed with Franklin half dollars. I have read quite a bit on them and I want to write what I've learned.
