I cannot log into your site. please mail the password for user name iansplanet to iansplanet@cox.net. thanks. i have somepictures of error coins, especially pennies. I have a 1909S with a missing L from Liberty. This is not worn off; the coin is in good shape. The error is identified in the 1957 edition of Frank G. Spadone's book, "MAJOR VARIETY AND ODDITY GUIDE OF UNITED STATES COINS." This is the fifth edition of the book. On page 22-23, error # S170a lists this exact error as being worth $131.00 in 'fine' condition, and @220.00 in 'good' condition. That as I wrote was in 1957. Just using an inflation index the valuue would have increased quite a bit. (For example, I have a 1956 Chevrolet that sold for $1,200 in 1956. A similar model would be the low end of the Impala Line, that did not exist until '58 or 59--i had a 1959 Impala supersport as my first car in 1966. The 1956 is worth about $20,000-$25,000 now due to its condition and rarity, much like the value of a coin. I have a picture but do not have time to send it. I wouldappreciate any information you have about this error, its value, and whether you think I should have NGC or PGCS grade it or have it graded period. Thank you for your valuable time.
