What are "Date Palms"?

    Interesting that Dutch did not use double d. Is it still a two syllable word with the break being da-del or is it dad-el? Is there a little lingering on the d so that the d carries over from the first syllable to the second? Of course Dutch and Danish are different. The Hispanic community here around us here in So. Cal. spell dates datteles.
    Wow amazing coin find! any one have any idea where the date palm coin originated? It would be rather surprising if they were local rather than foreign.
