    Post Your Washington Quarters

I didnt see an official thread dedicated to Washington Quarters, so here goes.

This came in the mail today, my very first snipe (~ 12.25 shipped)! Also, my first TPG Washington for my new album, as I have been buying only RAW! Does this mean I will be joining the crazy crack-out crowd? Maybe...

Sellers Pics, followed by my pics:

I think mine are better.

I will say that the rim gash is really bugging me. Can a coin really be an MS65 with rim damage like that?

OHHHH, and this thread is destined to become the "OFFICIAL Post Your Washington Quarters" thread, so make sure you add your pics below!!!

1954 Washington Quarter (PCGS MS65). Stumbled onto this coin in a Heritage auction last year; it just took my breath away!

Here's a raw washington I picked up this past weekend. I got an ms66 and this ms63 of same year/mm. MS66 went into the album.

Something about Washingtons is simple, elegant, and I love the BU luster!

Here's the album I went with.

I love WQs. They are an absolutely spectacular series to collect. They come in a wide array of colors, if one likes toning, due to the 1947-1958 US Mint Sets and are also readily available as untoned, white coins. Additionally, the silver set is something that most can complete in time while the clad set is quite challenging to do when superb coins are required. Lastly, there are no unobtainable keys in the regular issue set, which means the set can truly represent the way the owner chooses to build it.

Based on their performance on my E-Bay store, I would have to say that Washington Quarter series is quite cold right now. Nobody is buying them. Nobody is making offers on them. Heck, nobody is even watching them.

Hmmm...sounds like a tremendous deal is in my future. I also buy total market index shares when everyone else is panic selling, so this make perfect sense!

I'm not a Washington collector, but lately I've been trying to collect first year of issue coins.

From a junk bin. I really like the orange peel effect on it.

Heres another coin, purchased a month ago or so. Another very small coin coming up this weekend in Maine. Hope to pick up a few more nice raw Washingtons.

That comes to about .30 for a low pop "rare" coin..

The Washington Quarter has some VERY interesting Varieties and low pop circulation coins.

Technically I am supposed to be collecting RAW washingtons, since I have a nice album, but I can't find it in my to break these coins out. Maybe one day. enjoy!
