    I love the rainbow toning on Ms Liberty's backside G.

    I'll never forget, when i bought it.. The dude said "I was going to clean it, but I thought the colors were neat". o_O

    A few of mine, but certainly not all. If you enlarge the shield nickel picture you should be able to identify what is common on all of them. :)

    Growing up back then, everybody talked about the 1950-D and it's low mintage.
    A few weeks ago I had the chance to buy an Unc. 40 coin roll at what I thought was a good price.

    ^ So that's where they all are! It's been the only non war nickel year/mint I haven't been able to find for my album.

    BTW, the 1950-D was a known scarce mintage and the coin was widely hoarded. So much so that it is almost impossible to find an example in circulation. If you are looking through change to find a 1950-D, all I can say is good luck!

    I doubt my 50-D has been in circulation for 62 years. Likely, someone's "collection" got cashed in for face, since it came out of a roll with many other pre-60 nickels.
