I purchased this from a fellow member's eBay store. I'm very pleased! These pictures are the sellers and I could do no better. Shame about the dings on "A" in HALF and the shield, but any suggestions on grade? Thanks for checking it out! -L
I need to take a picture of my '64 for this thread next time I open my coin box. It has patina and story behind it. The house I grew up in was built in 1964, and had a built in set of drawers at the end of the hallway. It was a funky'60s paradise. One room had green and blue shag carpet in it. The exterior was green and white. There was a room across the carport with screen doors instead of real doors which was my bedroom as a teenager. The only bad thing about it was that it didn't have central air. Anyway, to get back to the story, the builders left a new JFK underneath the drawers and when my mom was cleaning up, she found it. I didn't know about it until a few months ago, and she gave it to me. It is fitting that it is a 1964, the only year of 90% silver Kennedy halves, as they are special coins and that was a special house. As far as I know, it's actually uncirculated or very lightly circulated, but it has tarnished to a black on the reverse and part of the obverse.
