After finishing my 3rd box of halves, I've noticed that mid-to-late 90's and 2000, 2001 Kennedys all seem to be very weak. They look different to me - as if the dates are "thinner" or weak. Is this common???
Here are 4 of the 8 that I found of the 1966SMS DDO variety. The other 4 are duplicates of these. Pop 8/2 graded higher No Pop reported. Don't know why? Top POP! Top POP! When I found these, I sent them off to CONECA for attribution. The FS-103 was a dead ringer and easy to identify, but the others not so. The FS-103 is typically considered the coin of choice for this variety as it has some of the strongest doubling. After they were attributed, it was suggested that I send them off to ANACS because PCGS and NGC only attribute the top 5 that are found in Cherrypickers while ANACS attributes all the known DDO varieties....and there are at least 23 known varieties.
Oops! I did it again. I went and got another 1964 proof set in OGP. I'm just getting so darned addicted to silver halves lately. Maybe cause the price is down on silver. I got the set for 22.00. I'll post pics when it arrives
Ever since CT Albums went away, most of the links to my coins are dead. In case you missed it, one of my all time favorites from my collection: 1998 Kennedy SP
