New Large Cent pickup, what would you grade it?

    Hi guys,

picked up a nice Large Cent over the weekend. This one has some attractive toning and great details with minimal wear. My guess would be mid to high AU. The luster is a little hard to capture for some reason, I'll work on shooting it again alter.

    What would you say?

Surfaces look slightly granular may be the pics as to wear I'd say au-58 just see the slightest sign thought it was ms brown at first glance

Grainy surfaces appear to be as made likely thd planchet or alloy

It's a beauty, though I did pay a good sum for it...do you think it's worth grading?

Absolutely as far as I can tell from the pics unless it's porous enough to get an enviro details grade is hard to tell the surface quality from the pics but if it looks clean in hand absolutely send it in

As it stands right now, what do you think the value would be?

Not bad, I picked it up for $150 on ebay. I think it is the most I have spent on a single coin, now. I really like the toning and color on it. Comparing it to other AU examples, I agree with you that this one has a bit more appeal.

Is definitely a slider why I'd send it in you might get lucky and they call it unc I'd say on the worst day they'd grade it au -55 and I've seen coins with a lot more wear called 55

Maybe I'm just being paranoid, but does this coin show any signs of recoloring? In-hand I'm not really picking up on old cleaning marks, but I want to hear others opinions as well...
