ok first the ansswer. some of you guessed it that i cherry picked the coin but unfortunately this is exactly the mistake. i knew the coin was a problem coin but the coin was "rare" so i bought it. the problem is that the coin is not rare and misleading information on the internet makes it a rare coin. the lesson here is unless you are on the ground you can get burned and no amount of research or numismatic knowledge will save you. There are 2 approaches to collect coins one approach is required for US coins and another for world coins.

Luckily i only paid $10 above melt so didnt lose out too much but its a lesson learned cheaply.

AKA the catch up round. Post or message me a link to a store that sells indian coins and currency notes. If i dont know about the place you get 2 points and if i buy something from there you get an additional one point. All currency notes are eligible but the coins have to be milled circa 1825 onwards. Round ends March 9th. So you can potentially make endless points and catch up with the contest leaders.
