What do you mean "coin buy deal? Just buying coins? You will quickly find that most of Amazon's prices reflect retail value for coins. If you want good deals, check ebay.

Have you tried roll searching for coins, probably the cheapest way to pick up coins, and can be quite fun.

Yea I do... but my mom cut me off for 3 months lol! I was going to the bank like once a week with 100 dollars but as a summer blow out thing I bought 500 in halves and 500 in dimes! Got a few silvers, mostly junk though

You might try explaining to your mom that roll searching could produce some silver halves, quarters, dimes or nickels. With silver at $23.20 the coins are worth much more in melt value than face value...........

    Pre-65 half dollar, 90% silver @ .36169 oz. - $8.39
    65-70 half dollar, 40% silver @ .1479 oz. - $3.43
    Pre-65 quarter dollar, 90% silver @ .18084 oz. - $4.20
    Pre-65 dime, 90% silver @ .07234 oz. - $1.68
    42-45 War nickel, 35% silver @ .05626 oz. - $1.31

When I was actively searching boxes of halves & quarters from the bank, I always kept a small stash of junk coins so that I could replace any that I found in a box. That way the bank account always remained the same when I re-deposited the boxes of coins.

In any event, don't go against your mom's wishes. The penalty for doing so is much worse...........loss of trust.

She doesn't understand because I haven't sold a coin yet... but I have 8 40% halves to sell maybe that will show her

If you have a local coin shop nearby, ask your mom if she would drive you there so you can sell those 40%ers. Be aware that most B&M's will offer you only 70-80% of melt for them, but that isn't totally unreasonable (try to negotiate closer to 80%). When your mom sees that you can get about 5x the face value, she might change her mind.

Afterward, don't say anything like "I told you so!" or "See!" As a matter of fact, just thank your mom for taking you.
