    Wow! I opened this thread a bit by mistake and then saw the coin in the original post.

    WOW!

    Went to ebay and see that it's a $400+ coin. Oh well. But I LOVE the wacky take-off on the Washington quarter design.

    Why didn't they make a silver or clad version!!!!!??????

    Or maybe they did - I'm out of my depth when it comes to commemoratives.

    whats your description of "modern"? 2000's? 90's? 50's? Just curious! :goofer:

    No they really should have masde a silver of the original design,Ibet it would have sold out quickly.just like the Silver Buffalo Dollar Did !

    I consider early to mid 1950s & up Modern but I'm 60 years old !

    Not my best shots or best editing (shot these in a room with a lot of brown and red's in it if you can't tell). the susie is kinda dark, but hey.. think I was asleep during post processing on all of these :(

    Most collectors consider anything post 1964 modern with the elimination of 90% silver circulating coins.

    Finding toned clad coins is rather challenging.
