    The medal is big...it is 2 1/2" X 2 1/2" X little over 1/2" wide and come with a case.
I think it may be German but I am not 100% sure.
Any help with identification approximate value would be much appreciated. Thanks!

What makes you think it is German? Is there anything on the reverse? Is the name of the designer on it? Is anything stamped on the edge?

There is nothing on the medal itself. It does say Germany on the bottom of the case.

Just because it has Germany on the bottom of the case doesn't necessarily mean that the medal is from Germany. So, there is nothing on the reverse or the edge?

The medal itself just seems more mid 19th century French to me, based on what I have seen from there. It is possible the case was made in Germany though.
