Is my 1943 Copper Cent real?

Sorry about that on my phone, when I was a kid I would always go to coin shows and there are always guys with miscellaneous tokens and such crammed in boxes. Something like five for a dollar. While shifting through one I swear to god I found a light aluminum colored penny 1974. I thought it was really strange, I inquired about it and the guy said he was busy with other customers( I was nine, very nerdy nine year old.) it pissed me off so I threw the coins I picked out back in the bin. When I got home I looked it up because I was still curious. And bam 1974 aluminum penny given to senators. Who knows what it really was. But damn I should’ve been more patient.
