Thanks Bing. I honestly shouldn't be complaining. I am way better off than the majority of people at my age. The fact that I have savings puts me ahead of the majority of my age group as well as the majority of Canadians! Fiscal responsibility and making good decisions with my money is a pretty cool thing!
Being responsible with your finances most certainly will lead to financial security/independence in the future. It did for me and my wife and we are totally secure as I type (barring something drastic). Keep it up.
