Wonderful coins Mark! I am sure you noticed, but your second 1855 is an N4 in later die state f with 4 cuds! Is the date readable on the 1793, that is a very nice low grade wreath.

Date is not really readable. I will have to check it out to make sure next time I get them out. Yes - I have it listed as a N-4, rim cuds - but not the die state.

For pure aesthetics, this is the best I will have ever had. Much of what initially appears to be wear is weak strike. I saw several like it called MS. I no longer have it, but the new owner did pay a price which indicated he cherished it too.

I wish I had a NC coin...having something that rare would be amazing, in ANY condition... :(

Nah - the best you ever had is now in my collection(and I mean aesthetics - even though the picture does not show it. ). :) It fits so nicely in my album - can't help but smile. :)

Found a few more favorites. Extra light on 1810 to show over date.

I acquired a basil state S-183 many years ago which introduced me to the wonders of variety collecting. I had to sell it during hard times, but have owned two other S-183's since. But this was my first and probably last to possess. But in a quick succession earlier this year, I obtained the 1797 NC-5 (R6), helped to verify a 1795 NC-3 (eighth example, R7) and discovered a 1796 NC-4 (R5+), both of which were purchased by a friend.

It is already an amazing year.
