From what I know, you can't upload pics from an iPhone/iPad/iPod .

This is correct. You cannot upload images from any smart device through a browser. It has to be a native app to the client hardware in order to accomplish this. Cointalk does not have said app.
What you could do, if you have facebook... Use the facebook app and upload to your facebook account, then get the links and post them here.

    doug444 STAMPS and POSTCARDS too!

Take a regular 1963 dime and weigh them both, separately; that helps eliminate calibration errors.

That doesn't look like copper core to me.

Looks like something got on the edge of the coin.

You can tell that they don't look exactly the same though

one thing to consider, where would the mint get a copper nickel clad planchet in 1963? I could see it if it as a 1964, but unless someone intentionally slipped it in, it's highly improbable.

That being said, can we get a close up of the 3 in the date? It appears it may be a dinged 1965, but hard to tell from those pics

From the photo it looks like damage to a "5" to that resembles a "3". This final number differed very slightly in the length of the tail , and the angle between the top bar and the rounded curve on the bottom right of your number seems to have the spacing of a "5" rather than a "3".

Clad metal was not approved or used until after July , 1965, when the mint produced both silver 64 dimes to fulfil orders, and the current year 1965 clad dimes. It is much easier to imagine a sliver planchet being struck 1965 or a 1964 being clad ( there are a few of each) than a 1963 struck on clad, as the material was not in use when 1963 dies were being used.

The sheen on the metal is different than on the silver. That said, it's likely a 5 and not a 3.
