Great Britain has a lot to choose from when it comes Coins&Token!
We post what we find here most of the time

 

the shilling and florin coins were the same size as the 5p and 10p and circulated will into the 1990s.

 

I am not sure if Great Britain was trying to cut out or consulate coinage to save money.
I am not an expert .

 

last florin minted 1967--last shilling 1966--the country issued a decimal currency in 1971---100 pennies to the pound

 

technically, that's not true. There was a 1970 dated proof set.
