Added to my Gallienus animal herd, at the last vacutions i bought a 10 piece lot, TIF isn't the only one buying multiple lots, although her coins are way better than mine. I got a Doe, a deer a female deer, no drops of golden Sun, yes there are a couple bucks there too, but i did get the goat Billy, the one with the big beard. Mixed Gallienus coins..
Thanks YOC, they are currently in route to my house, obv. site unseen, i'll post a pic.when they show up.. TIF, the goatboy title go's to Steve i wouldn't want to take that from him..
Goats are actually fairly common surprisingly. Much more common on greek, but common enough on Romans, (especially Republicans it seems). However, thinking about modern day Italy and Greece, maybe its not surprising why they would be on ancient more.
By the way => Eng's awesome coins are "deer" not goats ... => c'mon, man => get yer furry friends correct!!
with all the talk of greenery I guess he probably is.... I'm in for a henry as we say in UK (reference to our late great king of many wives)
sure => I agree, that last winner might be a Billy-Goat? (that's an awesome coin) => Goat-on, brother!!
Recently I was surprised to see a goat in the back of a pickup truck on my street. Not sure if it was mobile grazing or if it was about to become dinner.
To further derail the thread... I did not know that goats could make such human noises! Hilarious! The exchange at 1:23 is particularly funny, along with the last clip... yeah...
