    Hi Bob,

    Is this glued down on the corners only? Or is the whole note
    Glued down? Iam not a paper restorer but think a little steam
    Might be the answer, But no water, It may just work!:secret:

    In the bi-Monthly Paper Money page 73 they have a feature on Texas note(what timing) I've showed all the post & PMs to my sister in Law & brother & they were a little taken a back on conservation prices,thank everyone for your help & links & advice.Where else but on CT can you get these kind of answers.Thar's why Coin Talk is always my first reference for advice.They are sitting on a fence but I tried my best!

    What a wonderful note (beginning of thread). $5 was a lot on money back in the day. I wonder why it was not "punched?" I would think 19th century paste should be easy to remove without damaging the note.
