    1941 1 pfennig zinc, "A" mint mark (for Berlin). Krause #KM-97, mintage 281 million, $0.50 in XF.

    I bought a 1939 coin like this one in MS condition for 3-5 bucks. They're not worth that much.

    These are quite common, but an interesting piece of history. As a general rule, German coins of this era are much more common from the Berlin mint (which this coin is). I've seen this coin sell for less than $1 in that condition. I have a 1943-A and 1944-A (the '44 still has mint luster) in MS-63 and I paid less than $10 a piece.
