Stone Mountain Half Dollar

I recently inherated a 1925 Stone Mountain half dollar I did some research and found that there were lots more in the series.Can anyone tell me about value, or where i could buy any more in the series.

Depends on the conditon of the coin as to the value of it. As for more in the series the 25 Stone Mountain was the only one minted, if you are refering to the commemoritave series I would say find a dealer and they should have some of the different ones.

There is only 1 Stone Mountain commemorative half dollar. 1925. It red books in AU50 for $40.
Perhaps your refering to US Commemorative halfs as a series? There are planty of them.

there are well over a hundred different issues between half dollars and dollars. the stone mountain half was part of the early commems... starting in 1982 with the G. Washignton commem was whats called the modern commems.

Us Comm Halfs started with the Colombian Exposition coin in 1892 & '93.



They continued hit and miss thru 1954(origional commems), then stopped until 1982 and have been produced in many years since.(modern Commems)

Get a red book for pictures, dates and general values of them all.
